The Modern Muskoka Project was born from years of anticipation and vision. Nestled into the granite-lined shores of Lake Joseph, this 2,000-square-foot home was a collaborative effort to design a timeless retreat — one that married sleek city styling with the warm, welcoming spirit of cottage life.
The interiors were designed around contrast and clarity. Slate grey floors and crisp white walls established a contemporary canvas, while cedar accents and subtle textures introduced rustic warmth. The result is a space that feels open yet grounded — modern but never cold. Custom millwork, natural materials, and thoughtful lighting were used to guide the mood and experience of each room.
Every detail of the project speaks to our client’s desire for a peaceful escape that still felt elevated — a place to entertain, reconnect with family, and embrace the magic of Muskoka.
